Guess the exact score
Pick the final score of upcoming international matches before kick-off, collect points and climb the overall, country and friends rankings. Free, no money involved — only points and bragging rights.
How the score game works
Every upcoming match that is open for predictions shows two empty boxes: one for each team. Type the number of goals you expect each side to score and the prediction is saved straight away. You can change it as often as you like until the match kicks off. At kick-off the match locks — the server clock decides, not the clock on your phone — and after the final whistle your points are calculated automatically from the official score.
The game covers competitive international matches on every continent — Nations League games in Europe and North America, the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, Asian and Oceanian fixtures — and every World Cup 2030 qualifying competition as soon as its schedule is published. Later the 104 matches of the 2030 finals are added. Fixtures are synchronised from the same data feed the mobile app uses, so a prediction made on this website appears in the app and the other way round: there is one player account and one database behind both.
Points: 3, 2, 1 or 0
The scoring is deliberately simple so that you can check every number yourself:
- 3 points — exact score. You predicted 2–1 and the match ended 2–1.
- 2 points — right winner and right goal difference. You predicted 3–1 and it ended 2–0: the winner is right and the margin is two goals in both cases. A draw with a different score also counts here — 1–1 when the match ended 2–2.
- 1 point — right outcome only. You picked the winner (or a draw) but not the margin, for example 1–0 when the result was 3–1.
- 0 points — the outcome was wrong.
What counts is the score at the end of play, including extra time but not penalty shoot-outs. A knockout match that ends 1–1 after extra time and is decided on penalties is a 1–1 draw for the game. If an official result is corrected later, the points are recalculated for everybody.
Why predicting the exact score is harder than it looks
Most international matches end with one of a handful of scores — 1–0, 1–1, 2–1, 2–0, 0–0 — so an exact hit feels within reach, yet even regular players land it in only a minority of matches. The middle tier is where rankings are decided: a prediction that gets the winner and the margin right earns two thirds of the maximum and is far more frequent. A sensible approach is to look at what the teams actually do: the full history of every edition shows how often favourites win by one goal, and each national team profile lists recent results, the latest line-up and the squad pool. Head-to-head meetings are linked from every match report on the site.
When new matches appear
International football follows a fixed calendar of windows in March, June, September, October and November, plus the final tournaments in summer. Fixtures are usually published weeks in advance, but kick-off times are sometimes confirmed only a few days before the window. As soon as a match has a date and two teams, it appears in the list on this page and in the app; once a kick-off time is known, the lock moves to that exact minute. Matches that have already started disappear from the list of open predictions, and their result shows up in your history after the final whistle. If you like to plan ahead, check the page at the start of each window and fill in the whole round at once — you can still adjust a score when team news arrives.
A few habits of good predictors
Good predictors are consistent rather than bold. They enter every match instead of only the ones they feel sure about, because a ranking rewards the total over a season. They respect home advantage, which is real in international football, especially in qualifiers played in small, loud stadiums. They remember that tournament openers and decisive last group matches tend to be tight, while matches between a favourite and a team from the lowest pot can end with big margins. And they check the news before kick-off: a missing striker or a rotated defence changes a 2–0 into a 1–0 more often than people think. The table of the most common final scores further down this page, built from every match in our archive, is a useful reality check before you type a 4–3.
Rankings and leagues
Points feed several tables at the same time. The overall leaderboard ranks every player of this app; the country table ranks players from your country (taken from your device region at sign-up and editable later); the countries table compares nations by the average points of their active players, shown once at least three players from a country have scored. Rankings exist for all time, for each calendar month and for the current tournament or season, so a late starter can still win a month.
Private leagues let you play against friends, colleagues or a fan club. Create a league, share its six-character code and everybody who joins appears in a separate table. Friends can also be added one by one with a personal eight-character code. Equal points are split by the number of exact scores, then by fewer predictions played, so being right often beats predicting everything.
Your player account on the web and in the app
You need a player profile to save predictions: a nickname and your birth year are enough. The profile is identified by a secret player key that is created on your device — there is no e-mail or password. If you already play in the app, copy the key from your profile screen and use it on the sign-in page of this website; your predictions, points and leagues appear immediately. If you start here, the key is stored in this browser and can be shown and copied from the same page, so you can continue in the app later.
Players must be at least 13 years old. Contact details for occasional prize contests are optional, only possible from the age of 16 and only stored with explicit consent. The complete rules, including fair play and how ties are broken, are on the rules page for both games, and the privacy policy lists every piece of data the game stores.
No money, no stakes — points only
The score game is a free fan game. There is nothing to buy, nothing to deposit and no cash prizes; points have no monetary value and cannot be transferred. That is a deliberate choice: predictions should be about football knowledge and fun with friends. The same applies to the second game in the app — fantasy football with national-team players, where you build a squad of fifteen within a budget.

Frequently asked questions
How many points is an exact score worth?
An exact score is worth 3 points. The right winner with the right goal difference (or a draw with another score) is worth 2, the right outcome only 1, a wrong outcome 0.
Until when can I change my prediction?
Until kick-off by the server clock. After that the match is locked for everybody and the prediction can no longer be created, changed or deleted.
Do penalty shoot-outs count?
No. The score at the end of play counts, including extra time but not the penalty shoot-out.
Is the game really free?
Yes. There is no money anywhere in the game: no purchases, no deposits and no cash prizes. Points cannot be exchanged for anything.
Can I play on the website and in the app with the same account?
Yes. Copy the player key from your profile in the app and enter it on the sign-in page — both use the same database.
